Abstract:

This is a replication dataset for the published article: "Premature mortality in children aged 6–9 years with neurological impairments in rural Kenya: a cohort study."

This data includes individual-level data for survey participants who were prospectively observed between 2001-2018 to establish the risk of premature mortality, risk factors and causes of death in the Kilifi Health and Demographic Surveillance System. We have also included longitudinal data from the population from which survey participants were initially sampled (allpopulation.csv). The variables codebook is provided in a separate file.
