Study Scope

Abstract:

Description:
3D data cube of 12CO emission in Perseus. Data were obtained at FCRAO using the On-the-Fly (OTF) mapping method during 2002-2004. Units are uncorrected antenna temperature (TA*) in Kelvin. Up-to-date values of the forward-scattering efficiency (eta_n) can be obtained from the FCRAO website. Velocities are in m/s.
The map has a Samsom-Flamsteed (SFL) projection.

Telescope:
FCRAO

Status:
Finished, although some observations to improve the noise are ongoing.

Sampling:
The data were taken in OTF mode, which means they are over-sampled at irregular intervals. The spectra are re-gridded to 23" pixels (approximately Nyquist sampled).

Areal Coverage:
Approx 6.25 by 3 degrees

Map Center (Galactic):
l = +159:13:00
b = -19:15:00

Map Center (J2000):
RA = 03:37:00
Dec = 31:49:00

Disclaimer: The present version of the Perseus FCRAO CO data is not the final version. We are currently working to correct an artificial absorption feature visible in portions of the data (primarily in the B5 region) at around a Vlsr of 7.5 km/s due to one bad off position. As soon as the data has been reprocessed, it will be updated for download. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Naomi Ridge.

Comments on Resol ution:
The resolution of FCRAO at 115GHz is approximately 46". Data are convolved onto a 23" grid.
