Abstract:

The LIPW program took place across 26 neighborhoods in the five big cities of Eastern Congo: Goma, Bukavu, Beni, Butembo, and Bunia. In total, 13,975 individuals were registered before the 26 lotteries took place in 2016 and 2017. At the time of registration, we collected basic information (gender, age, etc.) from these individuals. In addition, the dataset includes information from the household survey conducted between June and November in 2019 (after the conclusion of all LIPW program activities). A random 3,205 individuals, out of the 13,975 registered individuals, were targeted for the survey. An updated version (v2) was made public on August 25, 2024.
