This package contains the child cognitive development test data and documentation for “Intergenerational Impacts of Secondary Education: Experimental Evidence from Ghana,” by Esther Duflo, Pascaline Dupas, Elizabeth Spelke, and Mark Walsh. It contains data collected in Ghana between 2017 and 2023, as well as documentation on the games used in collection.

3,853 tests given to 1,920 unique children of the original recipients of a secondary education subsidy in Ghana. The parents were sampled students who had been offered a spot to start senior high school in Fall 2008 but had not yet enrolled (usually due to financial constraints) by the end of the fall quarter.
