Abstract:

The CMAM/IYCF program evaluation is an evaluation made to assess the relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability related to the CMAM/IYCF program. UNICEF has been supporting the CMAM program, with a particular focus on Severely Acute Malnutrition (SAM) treatment and prevention. UNICEF contracted two national firms to implement the CMAM/IYCF monitoring and capacity strengthening system through 45 monitors in seven regions. The evaluation covered the seven regions and sampled woredas and Health Facilities (HF) from both intervention woredas where CMAM/IYCF monitoring program was implemented and comparison woredas where CMAM/IYCF monitoring program was not implemented.
