Study Scope

Keywords:

Medicine, Health and Life Sciences, Human Metapneuomovirus, Temporal, Prevalence, Genotype, Epidemic

Abstract:

These data include demographic, clinical results and sequence data obtained from a hospital-based surveillance of acute respiratory infections among children aged <5 years. Nasal swabs collected from these children were tested for HMPV and other respiratory viral infections using Real time PCR. Samples that tested positive for HMPV were later typed through sequencing and phylogenetic analyses of fusion (F) and glycoprotein attachment (G) genes.
