Abstract:

The Immunization Costing Action Network (ICAN) was a three-year project, supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and facilitated by ThinkWell and JSI, which included the implementation of costing studies of immunization services through routine delivery and campaigns. This dataset presents the findings of the analysis. The study, undertaken by a team of researchers from the International Vaccine Institute (IVI), aims to estimate the cost of the 2017-2020 nationwide measles-rubella (MR) campaign in four states in India. The study's main research questions were: "What was the financial requirement (financial cost) needed to conduct the MR campaign in India?" and "What was the opportunity cost (economic costs) of the MR campaign in India?" Financial costs were collected in Assam, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh and economic costs were collected in Uttar Pradesh.
