Abstract:

Combined sewer systems in the US present capacity issues for many wastewater treatment facilities. Aqua Aerobic Systems, Inc. has developed a cloth media filter solution to overflow events and has shared data from such a system during twelve stormwater events. SCADA measurements during each event were taken every 5 seconds, and this is a dataset that has been aggregated from the SCADA data and from composite samples. Lab analysis was conducted on 24 aggregated samples for each event, except for Event 2, where 20 aggregated samples were collected. The first eight samples were collected every 15 minutes, the next four samples were collected every 30 minutes, and the last twelve samples were collected every hour, totaling 16 hours. The goal of this dataset is to gain a better understanding of how much product water is being used for backwashes during wet weather events.
