Description
The following data represent all the required data and information generated for the paper published in The Heredity journal called “A major quantitative trait locus affecting resistance to Tilapia lake virus in farmed Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus”. It contains how the identification of the QTL for TiLV was assessed, and all the necessary data to replicate the results.

Data Type
Phenotypic data from a pond outbreak to Tilapia Lake Virus (n = 1,821), The fish belongs to the Generation 16th of the GIFT strain. Data was collected between Freburary and March, 2018. Raw genotypic data (n = 1,300 fish) is also observed. This data includes fish from the generation 16, but also their parents (Generation 15). The genotyping was assessed through a 65 K SNP array and its in .vcf format. Filtered genotyping data, representing data from 950 fish, is on .bed. .fam and .bim format
Software
The phenotypes have not been modified in any sense, and are storage in .txt format. The Raw data was generated after 2 initial quality controls (QC) to .CEL files. This QCs were done through the Axiom Analysis Suite Software v.4.2.2. Filtered genotyping data was generated after a QC done with Plink v.1.09.
