Users can search legislation related to juvenile justice. Topics include: due process, disposition options, disproportionate minority contact, juvenile delinquency, mental health, and substance abuse.

Background

The Juvenile Justice Bill Tracking Database is maintained by the National Conference of State Legislatures and John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation. This database allows users to search 2008 -2011 legislation related to juvenile justice. Topics include, but are not limited to: due process, disposition options, disproportionate minority contact, juvenile delinquency, mental health, substance abuse,

User Functionality

Users can search state legislati on regarding juvenile justice topics according to topic, keyword, bill sponsor, and bill status (i.e., active, inactive, adopted, vetoed). Users can view summaries of state legislation.

Data Notes

Legislation information is available from 2008 to present and is available on a state level. The website does not indicate when legislation information is updated. (2011-02)
