Datasets and related dictionaries for PlosONE manuscript. "Dataset-I": focuses on the thorough comparisons of co-extracted RNA and DNA quantity and quality according to technical details (e.g., elution, cellularity), logistics (time elapsed between block sectioning and co-extraction), clinicopathologic characteristics, omics testing QC, and RNA and DNA testing success (pass/fail or flagged for miRNA expression and methylation; coverage for targeted NGS mutation screening. Data are included for 658 melanoma patients, regardless of distribution for testing, or omics testing QC results. "Dataset-II": focuses on the thorough comparisons of the co-extracted RNA and DNA quantity and quality according to technical details (e.g., elution, cellularity), clinicopathologic characteristics, omics testing QC, and RNA and DNA testing success (pass/fail or flagged for miRNA expression and methylation; coverage for targeted NGS mutation screening). "Dataset-III": contains survival status and informs distribution and pass/fail status of samples tested with omics platforms.
