INSIGHT was an observational cohort study of PrEP delivery to young women in eSwatini, Kenya, Malawi, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe conducted August, 2022-September, 2023. Daily oral PrEP is a component of standard of care (SOC) for HIV prevention in these countries. However, PrEP persistence has been a challenge in open-label studies and programmatic delivery, and understanding strategies to support PrEP persistence and user values and preferences related to long-acting PrEP are needed. The INSIGHT Cohort was an open-label longitudinal study to evaluate oral PrEP uptake, persistence, and user rankings of product forgiveness and product and delivery attributes for long-acting PrEP. The prospective cohort study of open label FTC/TDF enrolled sexually active HIV negative women ages 16-30 in African settings that experience the highest levels of HIV across a variety of countries. Design: Prospective, observational, open-label cohort study to evaluate daily oral PrEP uptake, adherence, persistence and preferences for attributes of PrEP formulations among young women in eSwatini, Kenya, Malawi, South Africa, Uganda, and Zambia. Follow up was for 6 months. Population: 3000 HIV uninfected women ages 16-30 years
