The Galactic Legacy Infrared Mid-Plane Survey Extraordinaire (GLIMPSE) is composed of several individual surveys and together they provide almost complete longitudinal coverage of the Galactic plane at |b| <= 1.0°. Most of the plane is imaged at a spatial resolution of <2” at wavelengths of 3.6, 4.5, 5.8, and 8.0 μm; however, certain longitudes in the outer Galaxy are only imaged in the 3.4 and 4.6 micron μm passbands.
